PhD Introductory Event
Are you just starting your PhD? Make sure to sign up for one of the ongoing 2-day PhD Introductory Events!

The Introductory event should be attended within the first 6 months of the start of your PhD to be of real use to you. Participation will earn you 1.0 ECTS. Welcome on board!

MindMint is looking for new members!
Are you interested in science communication? Do you want to add something extra to your CV and earn ECTS at the same time? We are an association connected to GOPHER based on science communication, focusing on how to engage your audience, how to make your story more attractive, and how to adjust your story for each audience. We organize a scientific writing club to help others with their writing skills and workshops once in a while to help boost our soft skills, such as presenting or pitching your research. PhD Day 2026 – From Surviving to Thriving
Date: Friday, 23 January 2026 Location: Feringa Building, University of Groningen
PhD Day is the largest annual career and development event for PhD candidates in the Northern Netherlands. Organized in collaboration with the University of Groningen, it brings together over 500 PhD candidates to explore career paths during and after their PhD.
This year’s theme, From Surviving to Thriving, focuses on resilience, adaptability, and personal growth in research. The program includes keynote lectures, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. Participants can earn 1 ECTS credit for attending.

We kindly ask you to please register at least 1 week in advance.
You will receive a confirmation of registration and will be contacted by the course organizers several weeks before the event's dates.
PhD Scholarship students can request a reduction in costs for certain (higher-priced) courses. Please contact phd-cps@rug.nl after you have registered.
