You are warmly invited to come to Bratislava, Slovakia, to experience the Inclusive Education BIP course (26-30 January 2026).
Inclusive education is designed for pre-service teachers. It aims to equip you to respond effectively to the diverse needs of your future students by developing pedagogic
al practices that foster equity, belonging, and engagement in the classroom. You will be actively engaged in exploring and critically reflecting on key concepts such as:
Belonging (Cohen, 2022)
Relationship-rich education (Felten & Lambert, 2020)
Mentoring constellations (Vandermaas-Peeler, 2023)
The classroom as a safe and democratic space (bell hooks, 2002)
Inclusive assessment strategies
Together, we will consider how inclusive practices can positively influence student engagement, well-being, and learning outcomes. One course activity, for example, involves mapping your own supportive and mentoring relationships. As another activity, you will be invited to observe a class session in a school and reflect on inclusive aspects of student learning. Apply by 15 November 2025. Contact your ENLIGHT coordinator for further information on the application process. For more information, see here, and if you are applying from RUG, see here as well.
