Finding your inner Zen during the Week of Work-Related Stress (plus an opportunity to win a prize!)

As we hunker down back into our home offices (or for some who have never had the opportunity to head back) and the wintery weather approaches, the summery days of meeting friends at the Noorderplantsoen or relaxing outside in a terrasje (of course, socially distanced), seems a distant past. This provides a (unfortunate) perfect storm for spending too much time behind our desks and burden ourselves with stress of having to continue conducting our research in these circumstances. To mitigate the overburdering of stress, there is some reprieve in the near future.

Throughout the week of 16th of November (16th to the 20th), BALANS is hosting the Week of Work-Related Stress to provide participants activities to help minimise work stress. Why not join in for some breathing exercises to kick start your day or participate in a Mindfulness workshop. You can find the full calendar here and events are hosted in both Dutch and English. Spots are limited so make sure you are registered to an event or you may miss out!

If you would like more information over tips and tricks to manage work-stress, further information can be found on the Oval website here (and use the handy-dandy Google Translate to help you out ;) )

And don't forget, if you think you have a great suggestion to help with work stress (e.g. course, workshop, activity or lecture), add your input to the Week van de Workstress form (here). If your suggestion is selected, you can win some Happy Socks/Soaps!

All the best and don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions!
